The outward first five holes are through the pine tree forest. Water and good hole layouts provides the hazards that play a big part in players having to select the right club and hit with care. The eighteenth is a tricky Par-4 mainly involving a lake that is just waiting for the inaccurate shot.

Course is challenging, but the ladies red tee is far too long for many ladies and even senior guys. Cart path if using a buggy is horrible. Rental clubs really poor condition with no tees or anything but a towel. No idea if there are plans for a clubhouse or not. Surrounded by beautiful homes and some great water views however.

Great layout and course playing okay. Buggy paths need some work. But still a great experience.

Course in decent shape and has potential to be one of the best on the Algarve, but renovating at the moment. Clubhouse and reception are two demountables and the driving range is in poor condition.

A contender for the group favourite course of all the courses played in Portugal, layout is the best and the group consensus was if it had green lushness of other courses in the area it would be comfortably number 1, greens were excellent and the clubhouse house built is coming along , I’ve played San Lorenzo before and will be playing it again. Play it and see for yourself!
