Monte Rei Description

The superb Monte Rei Golf Course is located in the interior area of the Algarve and lies near to the town of Tavira. This new outstanding signature course by Jack Nicklaus offers everything a player would expect of this international golfer and designer. The Monte Rei Course is laid out in the rolling hills to the north of the Via Infante (A22) motorway. Each hole presents an attractive visual challenge combining a variety of testing factors to ensure golfers of most standards can play the course with enjoyment and challenge at every hole. Detail combined with natural aspects, already existing or specially created, provides a course to be remembered. Upon arrival you will be given attentive 5 Star services, valet parking, and the Buggy which is included in the cost of the green fee.

Great design, maybe the best on the Algarve. Good condition, even in dry August. Played the course as a single in less than 3 hours. Some greens, the first 2 holes are really bad, the rest is not really good. Long walks from the end of the fairways and where you can use the buggy. Over all, for me there is no 5 star world class course on the Algarve, this is the best you can play
