Laranjal Description

The Laranjal Golf Course is one of the newer courses and is located on the edge of the close to Quinta do Lago Resort in the Algarve. The latest course in the Almancil area has many lakes and obstacles. The narrow fairways of the Laranjal Golf Courses and well defended greens require good concentration and club accuracy to navigate the testing course laid down over a rolling and well defined topography. The Laranjal course has five par 5s, eight par 4s, five par 3s set amongst a mixture of pines, cork oaks and orange trees. To add to the challenge and vista there are five beautiful lakes.

Focus on buggies, walkers are neglected

Great course, a bit tired from dryness. What is strange is that on none of the Quinta do Lago courses you will find ball washers anymore. And possibilities to cross car paths or connect them to fairways by low edges with a trolley is difficult. Not everybody uses a buggy!

Lack of a course ranger resulted in a 5 hour plus ranger which took from the enjoyment of playing one of our favourite courses.p

Course in great condition we had a great time . However fairway distance markers are poor and delay play. We walked so no buggy guidance. No half way food or drinks and no water fountains . Drinks buggy met us on hole 13 . €200 tab means you should get the basics
