Very picturesque golf course beautiful club house. This was an excellent test for low (5-6) to mid range (10-12) handicaps. Course was in excellent condition, greens in particular. A lot of run offs so even straight shots can run off the fairway. We played the whites to suit low handicappers but yellow would be good test.

Played it first 15 years ago and found it too challenging with run offs and long holes. It’s a great test of golf in good condition.

Second year we have played it and whereas other courses like Penina have improved after challenges with having enough water, Palmares is not in best condition with burnt fairways and patchy greens. It’s a beautiful course well laid out and challenging with great views, needs to be in much better condition to justify the green fees.

Quirky course with more than normal number of par 5s and 3s. In good condition, lots of elevated tees. Was recommended we play off “53” tees unless handicaps 7 or less. This made the course on the short side, I would go for “58” tees otherwise lots if wedges to the greens.

Wide open course but a bit featureless. Greens were in very good condition but fairways suffering from lack of water like most courses right now. Could do with more attention to detail in the course maintenance.

Very attractive layout. We played Lagos/Alvarez combination. Fantastic views to the sea on the course and especially from the clubhouse. Greens struggling with patches of disease, probably due to lack of water after summer. But didn’t spoil a great day out for 8 low to mid handicap golfers.

Have played many times over the years. Course was in very good condition, clubhouse excellent. 8 low to mid handicappers had great day out.
