Perfect weather helped make a wonderful day. It was quiet, with a fourball two flights away and another twoball in the middle, so we adjusted our speed and spent more time discussing course management etc :) Loved the water hazards, the greens were fast (good for me since I tend to keep them short) and sometimes difficult. Friendly people on hole 19 as well :)

Lots of fourballs, probably too close to one another ... Which meant a lot of waiting. Either make us all play as four, or leave more room in between flights.Still like the course, challenging, nice architecture. And, as always: the warm apple tarte at hole 19 ;)

Last time we played this course was in 2022 and I had forgotten how much fun it is. Lots of variety in the holes, I really like the archictecture, the water, the bridges and the heights. Lovely people in the shop and the clubhouse. Well definitely go back soon :)

I really like this course. Its fair, and in good condition. Lots of diversity and the team is always very welcoming.

Wonderful course but I find it disappointing that a course like this does not have a driving range. Of course I understand the reasoning behind it, but still...it would be nice to hit a couple of balls and practice a little before entering this amazing course ;)Also the catering through the course can be (should be) better. We only saw the lady at hole 17. I expect there to be at least two buggy bars(?) And the routing / signage could use some adjustments.But, all in all, we had a great day, because playing this course was great. Challenging holes, beautiful views, lots of fun!Starting with a par 5 I was quite impressed and thats how it stayed. We ended at the clubhouse with nice people and tasty fish n chips :)Ha

I find everything at Penina a little poorly and the course somewhat boring... Weve been there a couple of times and now and I dont think well be going back any time soon. Its not bad or anything, its just that there are so many courses that are more beautiful and fun to play ...

My third time at Monte Rei and I love everything about the course: its challenging, especially yesterday when the wind was giving us a hard time (although thats fun as well) but still fair and you get to enjoy marvellous views. The greens still are difficult and at times you have to think about your course management, or simply go big or go home / no guts no glory :)Hence, when we arrived in the morning, at 11.15, there was no possibility to order some breakfast and the way that message was delivered, could have been more friendly. Having said that, at the end of the day, we had the most friendly gentleman serving us for dinner and making us special mocktails :) So, all in all, looking forward to visit again!

What a wonderful course :) Very friendly people, small but well equipped shop, nice hole 19, very good practice facilities and then the course itself...Whats not to love ... Challenging, variation, well taken care of. Definitely one my new favourites!

Boring ... Nothing wrong with the course but not one to remember . One par 3 that had water in front but besides that, all more of the same. Lots of courses that are more beautiful, more challenging

A course that lives up to its name. The one thing I dont understand about Vale do Lobo is that everything is top of the bill, except the practice facilities. Having said that, what a wonderful course!

Its a lovely, beautiful and challenging course. Great water holes, nice shop and nice people. But please: Stop with pushing so many flights in!!! It took us five hours... Just wait 10 minutes between flight AND: have a marshal checking if flights keep up. CHECK handicaps! It takes out all the fun ánd focus ... It honestly takes out the fun ...

Way too busy... Its simply not okay to have a flight every five minutes, without any handicap requirements, and then just keep it going. Took as just under five hours... Also, the absence of a driving range... The course itself is very nice and challenging though so definitely worth a visit.
