Alto Golf Description

The Alto Golf Course is a 18 hole course located close to the fishing village of Alvor near to Portimao. This course is situated close enough to the ocean to give the player an occasional sea view. A simple par 3 opens your round but it is deceiving to what is in store. The Alto Golf Course is considered a good test of the ability of the player with strategic bunkers, dog-legs, elevated greens and well placed trees. A further noteworthy challenge is the par 5 on the sixteenth that is considered to be one of the longest holes in Europe.

Great course in really good condition tight fairways you have to be on your game making you think about it on every tee had a great round

Many groups of very poor golfers causing very slow play preceded us. We should be advised at time of reservation when large organized groups(tournaments) are scheduled to play ahead and risks of shortage of buggies.

Once debris from storm in between fairways is removed, course will be more pleasurable to play.
Should be a temporary discount after wind damaged.

Very nice course but after wind damage, too much debris stored in between fairways.
