Vale do Lobo Royal
Great course Thu, 20th Oct 2022 |
Really enjoyed this course despite the on and off rain showers. Good variety of holes and of course the stunning 16th which is a must play hole. Fairways are like carpet and make iron shots that little bit easier and greens medium pace and true. Only gripe is the lack of pitch mark repairs but that is disrespectful golfers not the course. We spent the afternoon in the club house with Spikes bar providing great food and service. Highly recommend this course. |

Victoria
Slightly disappointed Wed, 19th Oct 2022 |
This course is the venue for the upcoming Portuguese masters. All of our party were left underwhelmed to a point. It is a long and difficult course and I suppose we were expecting more. It is slightly rough around the edges but perhaps it’s supposed to be like that, not sure. Fairways and greens are excellent. Clubhouse was underwhelming with average food and service. |

Quinta do Lago South
Stunning Tue, 18th Oct 2022 |
By far the best course we played during our stay. Everything was stunning from hole variety, greens, fairways and scenery and facilities. What a course can’t fault it at all. This is a must play for everyone visiting the Algarve. |

Old Course
Good but needs TLC Mon, 17th Oct 2022 |
This is a good course dominated by savage trees that punish a misdirected shot. Fairways and greens excellent. I have scored it 4 stars because it’s a little scruffy in places. The cart paths are terrible, the tee boards are old and rotting and barely readable. There are raised logs on cart paths to stop you going on the fairways at certain points and these were tired and in a lot of cases had just collapsed. This in my opinion is unacceptable for the high green fee. We are returning to the Algarve in the new year and will not be playing this course. When you compare this course with Quinta do Lago (similar green fees) and Vale do Lobo(lesser green fees) there is no comparison. |
