Booking chaos - great golf though. Sun, 25th Sep 2022 |
There was a mix up with the booking, the email confirmation showed the correct date but the PDF voucher was incorrect. Fortunately there was an alternative T time available so we still got to play. Course generally in very good condition with only a couple of greens needing closer attention. Some challenging holes with big elevation changes, wide fairways so driver can be used without fear. I hope to play it again one day. |

Alto Golf
Average overall hence 3 stars. Fri, 23rd Sep 2022 |
Generally in very good condition with some tricky greens. The course suits older players who don t hit it very far. Several holes felt like theyd been squeezed in rather than properly designed. The clubhouse and facilities are looking dated and need a refresh compared to others on the Algarve. As a 5 handicapper I enjoyed my visit but I wouldnt go back as it wasnt a big enough challenge. |

Great course, not as tight as some say. Thu, 22nd Sep 2022 |
Testing course in good condition, playing it for the 1st time was quite difficult as several shots are blind which means that good shots may be unfairly penalised. Playing it again would be easier and I intend to as it was a great experience. |

Santo Antonio
Enjoyed but it needs major investment Mon, 19th Sep 2022 |
A good test of golf with an unusual mix of holes from very short par 3 s to long par 4s. Greens are generally poor to average with a couple being very ropey. Its cheaper than others at the moment so Id still play it again at those rates. The whole complex including the cafe ( I didnt fancy eating there) needs major investment and looks like its on its last legs. The buggies have bald tyres that are unsafe. The staff in the Pros shop were very friendly and welcoming. |
