Have been playing this course annually since inception. Sad therefore to see that it seems to be on the decline. No longer meet & greet in the car park. Carry your own clubs down to the buggy park where only 1 member of staff on duty , struggling to cope with the numbers for both courses. Buggies in need of replacement ( torn seats, no complimentary tees, no ice in the ice buckets and most frustrating of all, no GPS on the screens (obviously not paying for this service).Driving range - teeing ground in very poor condition and the balls in despite need of replacement.Cart paths - generally ok but not particularly well cared for (weeds growing through the cobbles)Tees - very difficult to find a flat lie on the tee. Sparse in grass but heavily sanded)Fairways…excellentGreens …excellent and a good pace with ball rolling true.Bunkers….very poor condition and a severe lack of rakes given the size of the bunkers, with some not even having one in them.Buggy bar service…very goodPace of play…least said..but 5hours 20 mins.Starter on 1st tee…..sat in his buggy the whole time, no interaction and basically left to our own devices.Overall, very enjoyable to play but be prepared and as Sid, a big reinvestment is long overdue.

Excellent on all levels….greens the best of our week by a long way.

Disappointed that our visit coincided with the clubhouse refurbishment and therefore facilities limited although they are doing their best with portakabins and awnings.Complimentary and quality balls on the range a nice touch, as was the first drink, also complimentary from the buggy bar.Course layout excellent and in good condition overall. However a couple of the greens were suffering but this could be down to the water restrictions in place.Overall however, a very enjoyable days golf.

Great course with some excellent holes and views. In good condition, although some greens were a little bouncy and the ball not running true. However, overall definitely one of the best in the area and well worth a visit. Great facilities.

Difficult to know where to start…..have played this course several times over the last 15 years. In June the aged clubhouse burnt down and therefore off course facilities are non existent. Check in is a portakabin in the car park which also contained a fridge for drinks. There previous supply of buggies were destroyed in the fire but the replacement are clearly very old and have been begged & borrowed from anywhere and everywhere. The biggest disappointment of all however is the way the condition of this course has been allowed to decline year on year to the point now where despite the excellent location and course layout, I will never return or recommend anyone to play until serious investment to turn things around.The buggiy paths are dangerous - very uneven due to tree roots and numerous areas where the paving blocks are missing. A bridge over a road which was destroyed by fire 2 years ago has not been replaced. Bunkers unkept & poor quality of grasses on the fairways making taking your club away on the backswing very difficult.Finally, the greens are just awful - see attached picture. All the above is even more surprising given that the course is surrounded but some of the most expensive properties in the Algarve.

Course in very good condition with greens running true & fast. Since my last visit of a few years ago they have switched the routing of the course with the back 9 now becoming the front 9 and vice versa. This new routing definitely flows a lot better but unfortunately the round still took 5hrs 15 mins - this is unacceptable. A Marshall did appear midway though out back 9 but should have been on the case a lot sooner. Overall though, great facilities, nice to see the frequent visits by the buggy bar, especially in the hot weather.

Course, which is set in the hills just North of Loulé, only opened to the public earlier this year.Buggies included are essential as there is a lot of elevation changes from greens to tees. Views spectacular. Course condition excellent with some very large greens proving a real test. Very tight front 9 - if you miss the narrow fairways your ball will fall off the sides into scrub land or dry river beds or trees. Back 9 more forgiving.The clubhouse is not yet open making the overall experience somewhat disappointing….no terraces open for sitting on and no bar facilities. There is a caravan in the area by the first tee serving a very limited range of drinks and snacks. Nowhere to sit.In time and when the development is complete this course certainly has the potential to be up there with the best the Algarve has to offer, but still a long way to go.

Over the years have played this course (&the Faldo), several times. Unfortunately on this occasion our visit was very disappointing. The usual meet & greet service was not in place, poor service in the bar/ restaurant with very limited choice available. The condition of the practice range & putting green was poor. Onto the course and it is evident it is suffering from a lack of attention. Teeing grounds and their surrounds looking not cared for. Fairways were in good condition but the greens far from their usual high standards. Halfway house was open and friendly staff member with basic but good selection on offer.I am sure they have suffered during the pandemic with lack of visitors and staffing issues but things need to improve given the premium prices being charged.

Simply stunning. Well worth the drive in our case from Vilamoura (50 mins).Lot of work going on but the new clubhouse is outstanding with great views out to Lagos / Alvor. Very friendly & helpful staff. Courses in great condition.
