I was somewhat disappointed by the Ocean ,only on 6 holes did i think it was worth the money and we paid 70 euro as an early bird. Nice 1st and last and the few where you can see the sea are okay.My problem ? I have played Westcliffs north of Lisbon so everywhere else cannot match that gem.

A course in good condition with excellent greens but they simply let too many play . We were a 4ball teeing off at 1.30 - the 2 ball in front hit their 1st shots and 2 nd ones approx 50 yards each ! I understand the need to make money after covid closures but !!! To be fair they kept ahead of us - just, by the time we got to the 9th it was stacked up and on the long par 5 there were 5 groups playing the hole . The poor 2 ball behind us walked off around the 13th . We played 17&18 in complete darkness and I parred the 18th so now I play with permanent dark glasses !! Thank god we payed 79 euro and not the 130 daytime green fee .

A pleasant course in great condition -definitely the better of the 2 at Val do Lobo. All was going well all day apart from the 2 par 3s which unfortunately were card wreckers for both me and my playing partner-slight wrong choice of club on one and a ball still travelling to USA on the other.Let down a little by the 18th which does not even end up near the clubhouse.

The Dom Pedro Old is a fine course strikingly similar to Sunningdale /Wentworth which i was not expecting -i go on holiday to find places different to what we play in UK which is not a criticism but an observation.V good condition throughout.
